This RV park is a really, really nice park. My wife and I took our bucket list trip to Alaska this summer and of all the commercial RV parks we stayed at, Haines Hitch-up is easily the best one. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, making reservations for us and recommending places and things to do. The sites are grassy and level, and the roads in the park are nice and wide making backing into your site much easier. It’s also just a couple of minutes from the downtown(shopping) and another minute to the small boat marina where we caught the Fjord Express for a day trip to Juneau.
This park is the gold standard of RV Parks in the North Country. Its facilities are immaculate, the sites are level with well manicured grass, and the flowers are a feast for the eye. We made many purchases at their gift shop, the staff was courteous, friendly and accommodating.
We enjoyed our stay immensely!
Stayed here just as it opened in late May. You could not find more helpful people. The site was perfect with excellent sites and the cleanest bathrooms anywhere. Would I recommend this rv park – absolutely
Spending 2 months traveling by RV in the Northwest (Yukon, BC) with over a month in Alaska. Hitch-up RV is by far the best RV park we have experienced. The sites are grass whereas most “parks” elsewhere are gravel lots. The facilities are spotless and modern and have exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend staying here if you need a camping site with hookups. Also Haines is a friendly town with good restaurants and a good selection of hiking trails.
This RV park deserves 5 stars on all accounts. Located within easy walking distance from stores and restaurants, this park is well maintained and everything about it shows the owners care about their guests and they take pride in running a great business. The lots are grassed, clean and level. The hook-ups are in great shape. There is free wifi right inside your RV. The showers are the cleanest ever and each private stall has ample space plus hooks for your stuff, included in the price, and plenty of hot water.
Immaculate RV park! I compare it to Disneyland because the grounds and the facilities are the cleanest and the best maintained just like Disneyland. After a long drive from southern California and some questionable RV parks along the way, we were pleasantly surprised! The bathrooms and laundry room was SPOTLESS! They had brochures for around the area neatly placed on the walls. The RV sites were beautifully maintained and level! The owners are warm, friendly and professional! KOA and Good Sam Park owners should tour this campground. There was not one thing to complain about!
