Fjord Express To Juneau

Depart Haines in the morning and head south thru Lynn Canal on the Fjordland, a new 65’ state-of-the-art specially designed catamaran. You’ll view hanging glaciers and weather-beaten Eldred Rock, site of Alaska’s first lighthouse.  Wildlife abounds in Lynn Canal and you’re sure to see bald eagles, harbor seals, porpoise and humpback or killer whales. There will be a stop at a rookery where hundreds of Steller sea lions gather in the summer to breed and pup.
Upon arrival in Juneau, board a motorcoach for a tour of Juneau’s highlights including Mendendall Glacier, the state capital building, the governor’s mansion and downtown Juneau.  Your afternoon is free for lunch and shopping and exploring the downtown district.  A light dinner will be served as you sail back through Lynn Canal to Haines.

Juneau's Magnificent Tracy Arm Fjord Sawyer Glacier Cruise Glaciers, icebergs, waterfalls, whales, bears, eagles, mountain goats & hundreds of seals!
Board the 56' Adventure Bound for a leisurely full day cruise thru the Stephens Passage where you should watch for humpback and orca whales and scan the shoreline for bear and mountain goats.
Then you will turn into Tracy Arm, which is a narrow, twisting, turning fjord with massive cliffs rising thousands of feet on each side. There are snow-capped peaks, shear rock palisades, waterfalls and tidewater glaciers.
As you approach the Twin Sawyer Glacier, icebergs will surround the vessel as you wait for the likely event of "calving" when part of the glacier's face breaks away with a roar and plummets to the water below. Near the South Sawyer Glacier hundreds of seals relax on the icebergs surrounding the vessel, safe from predators in the ice-choked fjord.
